Our mission is to empower people, through the use of language and culture, to ensure accurate communication and clear understanding.

At MINT, our mission begins with a commitment to empower people. We know that clear communication and accurate understanding between people who speak different languages makes a world of difference.

Effective language services empower Limited English Proficiency (LEP) people to participate more fully in their health care, rehabilitation, educational opportunities, community partnerships, and legal proceedings. This can lead to better health outcomes, quicker recovery, improved learning, greater civic engagement—to growth.

At the same time, effective language services empower English-speaking physicians, physical therapists, counselors, advisors, nurses, teachers, lawyers, business leaders, community organizers, care coordinators and Qualified Rehabilitation Consultants (QRCs) to deliver services to and partner with LEP members of their community.

Finally, MINT is committed to empowering language service professionals—interpreters and translators whose skills and expertise make clear communication and accurate understanding possible. Matching the best interpreter or translator to your needs takes time, so we love advanced notice. Typically, we book interpreters days or weeks ahead of time to ensure the highest quality service for you, but we know that last-minute needs come up. Send us your rush or ASAP requests—you will be surprised by how often MINT comes through where other language services agencies let you down.

Contact us via email or phone so that we can get to know your specific language service needs. We’ll answer questions about rates, policies and service agreements based on your particular requests for service.

Will you send me a confirmation once an interpreter or translator has been hired for my project?2019-08-16T21:16:21-05:00

Yes! When you submit request online, you will automatically receive an email to let you know your request has been received. As soon as an interpreter is booked, usually within the same business day, we will send you a confirmation including the interpreter’s name. You can choose your preferred method for receiving confirmations—by email or by fax.

Do you send reminders to your interpreters so that they don’t miss appointments?2019-08-16T21:16:47-05:00

Yes! MINT takes the worry out of booking interpreting services. We have systems in place to prevent interpreter late arrivals and no-shows—in fact, MINT interpreters arrived on time at 99% of appointments in 2018.

Can I request a specific interpreter?2019-08-16T21:17:17-05:00

Yes, of course! We know that our interpreters are outstanding, and it makes sense that you want to continue working with a specific interpreter who has gotten to know you and your LEP clients/patients. We know that continuity of service/care produces better outcomes for everyone. Send us your request, and we’ll take it from there!

What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment or project?2019-09-09T11:22:34-05:00

Our MINT Service Request Form (MSVF) can also be used to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Send us a new completed form, and check either the box for “cancel” or the box for “reschedule.” We will send you a confirmation to let you know we have received the cancelation and/or to set up the request for a rescheduled appointment. Late cancellation fees may apply.

We are available to meet your language service needs and receive service requests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year! Hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We are available over the phone, by email, and by fax at all other times.
